Terms of Service

Draft, October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Kali Winkler, the developer of Bloatie. By creating an account or using Bloatie, you agree to them.

Bloatie is not medical advice

Bloatie provides general educational information about FODMAPs and a place to keep your own logs. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or dietitian.

Low-FODMAP is meant to be a temporary elimination-and-reintroduction process, ideally guided by a qualified professional. Talk to one before making significant changes to your diet, and seek medical care for severe, new, or worsening symptoms.

Anything Bloatie shows about your own logs is a possible pattern, not proof that a food caused a symptom.

Food information

Serving guidance in Bloatie is general and qualitative. Foods vary by brand, recipe, ripeness, and preparation, and individual tolerance varies too. The information may be incomplete or wrong — check labels, and use your own judgement.

Your account

You need to be at least 13 to use Bloatie, and if you are under 18 you need a parent or guardian’s permission. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens on your account.

Your information

What you log belongs to you. You let Bloatie store and process it only to run the app for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export or delete it at any time.

Using Bloatie fairly

Don’t misuse Bloatie: don’t try to access other people’s accounts or data, disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or copy its content to build another product.

Changes and availability

Bloatie will change over time — features may be added, changed, or removed. It may sometimes be unavailable. It is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Kali Winkler is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Bloatie, including any decision about what to eat. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that the law doesn’t allow to be limited.

Ending

You can stop using Bloatie and delete your account at any time from Settings. An account may be suspended or closed if it is used to break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, except where your local law says otherwise.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, Bloatie will tell you in the app before the change applies. Questions: hello.bloatie@gmail.com.
